Do you need it?

You would probably be surprised at just how many people use care phones to monitor and ensure their well being. There’s a whole host of reasons why clients decide they need the reassurance that comes from having a care phone, and often it’s the reasons they haven’t thought of that cause them to call on us for assistance.

Read some of our clients’ stories and see how they benefit from using a Positive Response care phone.

Positive Response Client AClient A is a retired lady who recently lost her husband. Although fit and leading a very active life she’s aware of the potential risks of living alone and so bought a care phone for her own peace of mind. She’s since found out that there’s more to our care phones than simply responding to illness or falls. The wristband having a good range and working well in the garden proved very handy when she was accidentally locked out!

Positive Response Client BClient B is a 35 year old man who has epilepsy and lives alone. He has infrequent seizures but he gets little or no warning when they do come. He needed a passive care phone system that wouldn’t interfere with his life, but would monitor his well being and spring into action when he needed medical assistance. The fall detection device in our wristband means we know the very instant he falls or experiences a seizure. Our response protocols mean that the right medical contacts and his family are notified straight away.

Positive Response Client CClient C is an older lady with mild short term memory loss. Her daughter bought a care phone on her behalf and is named as a keyholder and contact should a crisis arise. Our client says she finds it easy to think of the care phone alert button as just ‘another watch’ she puts on in the morning and she likes the discreet design. Her daughter is concerned about a possible deterioration in her mum’s health, and so is reassured knowing we can add extra features to the care phone system to support her mum should that be needed in the long term.

Positive Response Client DClient D is a 42 year old woman with children who is a survivor of domestic abuse. Her care phone system has been designed to her needs and, among other modifications, has been linked to movement sensors so the care phone functions as a security system. As well as being a panic button for her, we are alerted to any movement within her property when she’s not at home. Such movement could suggest that someone has entered the property illegally and may be waiting for her, so we can warn her of this in advance of her return home so precautions can be taken.
